With the latest MusicalSwerve Exclusive release I bring you Cleveland MC Veeno's latest installment and preview into his upcoming album "Myself As I Know It" set to come out in late September, we have The Follow Up. The Follow Up is a mix between remixes and original tracks that showcase Veeno's life through his lyrics and dope song writing. Touching on subjects like is exes getting married, his friends having kids, the city he is from not backing him, and his peers not showing him respect Veeno makes bold moves and lets his story telling do the hard part. With tracks like Blue Collar Party, a classic and unique party track that showcases the "Blue Collar" lifestyle that Veeno has come to embrace as his own, to By The Way, and its clubby production by D Bunk and smooth feature vocals from Cleveland Singer/Producer Phenom, the mix-tape leaves little room for listeners to get bored and want to skip along. For me a gem comes through the mix-tape with the LoudxPack produced Poster Childs. Poster Childs is a track showcasing the Midwest sound that has seem to be lost throughout the years, "That Midwest shit, we the Poster Childs" rings through the hook and lets the listener know that Veeno is the real deal and not just another rapper hacking off of everyone around him. The track is brought to a full with an incredible feature from Cleveland Spitta Soul Kryziz, who touches on being around the game for a minute and watching these younger artists talk about blowing money here and there, where as he knows the game and the troubles he faced in the past. Over-all I give the mix-tape the official seal of approval and ask everyone to take the time and check it out. You won't be disappointed and as always GET HIP!
